Mr. Vincent McAllister, affectionately known as "Bernard," entered into eternal rest on Friday, April 28, 2023 at his residence. Bernard was educated in Hoke County public schools and a member of the graduating Class of 1969 from Hoke County High School. He advanced his education via Psychiatry Residency, Medical College of Virginia Hospitals and Physicians, Virginia Commonwealth University(Richmond, VA); ECU School of Medicine (Greenville,NC), UNC-G and NC A&T University (Greensboro,NC), Premedical Curriculum, NCSU; Psychology, BA, UNC Chapel Hill, NC.His brother, Orlando T. McAllister preceded him in death. Bernard leaves to cherish his memories; two brothers, John D. McAllister, Jr., MD (Betty), Jason A. McAllister (adopted) (Asia-Marie); one sister, Marverra S. McAllister-Savage; two nephews, Jarmen R. and Czyz N. Savage; two nieces, Tatia Long (Ashanti); Tolisha S. Dent (Karseem); three aunts; two uncles, and a host of relatives and friends.
There will be a graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Vincent McAllister on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at 2:00 PM at McAllister Family Cemetery.
